Realization from the Past

I don't know where things will go from here.
what happened to the old you?
I miss that person a whole lot more,
and this person now I have no clue what they did with my best friend.
obviously it has taken him away from me,
but life goes on and I know i can make it through.
I lost you, but i'm not going to loose anyone else.
this is because things are suppossed to happen,
and maybe loosing you was one thing that had to happen
before I could ever see the brighter side of life again.
I may never know if it really had to happen,
but i know one thing is that for certainty.
it is that nothing in my past will ever stay here to haunt me in my present or future!
